Show Cedar City Club Adopts Needy European Child The Cedar City Business and Professional Pro-fessional Women's club was notified noti-fied this week that little six-year old Raymond Salmon, of Llbremont, Belgium, is the needy European child whose support the club has undertaken under-taken for next year. The club con- mm 1 I) RAYMOND SALMON tributes $15.00 monthly to a central cen-tral organization in New York which In turn buys and ships to the child necessary food and clothing. In addition, ad-dition, the club will send extra packages pack-ages of food and clothing for special spe-cial occasions such as birthday, Christmas, etc. Raymond Salmon is one of three children whose mother lost everything every-thing in the war, and who has had great aiincuity supporting fieri children. His father was an officer In the Belgian Army, but after cap-1 ture and escape from the Germans was recaptured and sent from one vile prison camps to another until he finally died. Last year Mrs. Salmon Sal-mon was unable to clothe her children sufficiently to allow them to attend school, and they suffered greutly from Europe's severe winter. The Cedar City Business and Professional Pro-fessional women's club hope to bring a little comfort and happiness Into the life of one of Europe's innocent war victims. |
