Show Forty-Three B. A. C. Students Receive Activity Awards Forty-three students of the Branch Agricultural College were honored this week at BAC's annual Award Day, whan they received awards in recognition for their various var-ious contributions to the student life at the College. Miss Vernetta Jones of Cedar City was the sole receplent of a "Scholarship "Scho-larship A" Award. This award Is made only for maintaining a straight A average for three consecutive quarters. Miss Jones has held a 3.0 average for her Freshman year at the BAC, which means 16 or more hours of straight A for Fall, Winter Win-ter and Spring quarters. Student Body President Clayton "Bud" Sherman of Detroit, Michigan, Michi-gan, Student Body vice president Bonnie Wittwer, of Beaver, and Student Body Secretary-Joan Jones of Cedar City all received sweater awards for their performance In their respective offices. Mrs. Janice M. Prothero of Cedar Ce-dar City received a Department Award for outstanding contributions contribu-tions In Music and dance. Girls receiving VTJUl. (Women's Athletic Association) Awards were: Lois Urie of Cedar City, Marie Mel-ling Mel-ling of Cedar City, Connie Stevens of Parowan, and Hazel Jean Davenport Daven-port of Paragonah. In the athletic field the following men received BAC block "A" sweaters. sweat-ers.
