Show John Bauer Dies Following Lengthy Illness John Bauer, 81, livestock man and farmer and lifelong resident of Cedar City, died at 5 a. m. Wednesday of causes incident to age, at the Anderson Rest Home in St. George. Mr. Bauer had been ill for some time following a stroke four years ago. He died quietly in his sleep yesterday. A member of the High Priests quorum of the Cedar City Second ward, he was active in church affairs. He is a son of Barbara Ellker and Alowis Bauer who came to Utah torn Switzerland and settled set-tled in Beaver. They later moved to Cedar City where John was born In 1868. In November 10 he was married to Rachel Paramore of Parowan in the St George L D S temple. Survivors are his estranged widow Mrs. Rachel Bauer Williams, Wil-liams, Cedar City; three children, child-ren, Leona Mackelprang and Wesley T. Bauer, Cedar City, and Mrs. Rosetta Lowe, of Benton, Washington; a brother, Alowis Bauer, Salt Lake City; a half brother and two half sisters, William Wil-liam Bauer and Annie Hunt, Enterprise, En-terprise, and Clara Granger, Salt Lake City, and 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are In charge of the Southern Utah Mortuary Mor-tuary and will be announced later. |
