The county committee to be elected at the county convention consists of a chairman, vice chairman, member and two alternate members. The county committee administers locally the Agricultural Conservation Conserva-tion Program, Sugar Program, Price Support Program, and such marketing market-ing quota programs as are still in effect. The county committee arso Is responsible for special activities assigned to them by the Secretary of Agriculture. Since delegates elected in the community elections have to decide on who shall make up the county committee, the State Chairman urges urg-es all eligible farmers to give careful care-ful consideration to the election of delegates. He also stresses that a county committee can be truly representative rep-resentative of the farmers of the county only when a large percentage percent-age of the farmers of the county participate in the elections. |
