We wish Mr. Bauer all good luck, in his new Job and thank him for all the good service he has given our school HIGH SCHOOL The Physical Education department depart-ment at the Cedar City high school has set up the following objectives through their activities for the benefit ben-efit and development of their students: stu-dents: leadership, organic develop ment, knowledge development, psychological psy-chological development, and recreational recrea-tional development. With the cooperation of the City, Coach Quill Allen, head of the Men's Physical Education depart ment, managed this year to include swimming in the physical educatlor program. This activity contributes to the development of the entire body more than any other aotlvity. Other activities have been touch football, tumbling, boxing, basketball, basket-ball, skiing, wrestling, volley ball, badminton and formalized activities. activi-ties. When the weather permits the boys will be outside participating in archery, softball and camping. In the Women's Physical Education Educa-tion department. Zetta Peterson's students have been participating in group games, party games, lead-up games to soccer, lead-up games to basketball, volley ball, badminton, and they'll be playing softball soon. It Is the hope of the faculty that 1 the fun and enjoyment to be had will be so greatly anticipated that In no way will the manner of dress become too important an issue, with the girls in particular. In no way will there be a formal graduation. The Faculty members hope that the parents will appreciate their efforts to establish this Informal type of prggrara, and that they will use their own Judgment as to what their child shall wear, hgnce there is no pressure being brought to bear on the uniformity of dress. |
