Show Dr. Homer Durham Taluks to Lions Club j Dr. Homer Durham of the University Uni-versity of Utah provided the members mem-bers of the Cedar City Lions club with much to think about when he addressed the club Monday noon. Called upon to address tlie group without having been originally scheduled. sche-duled. Dr. Durham held ttie interest inter-est of everyone present with a discussion dis-cussion of world problems. He emphasized the tremendous influence of Communism in the world today, and stated that it is even wielding considerable influence on political activities in America. The speaker traced three major theories of thought and action that nave swayed the people of the world in years past, and are having an effect on the civilization of the world today, and urged the people to ulve serious thought to the influences in-fluences of such theories, and to I make their own decision as to whether whe-ther they will progress through service ser-vice or submit to will of those sway-! sway-! ed ty the teachings of leaders who seem certain of the decline of Western West-ern civilization. |
