Show Slate Lands Are Divided Into Fire Districts All lands in the state have-been have-been created into fire districts, except those within the boundaries boundar-ies of incorporated cities and towns, with each county representing repre-senting a district, according to Arthur Nelson, county sheriff and firewarden. All of the above districts have been declared closed beginning June 1 an-J ending October 31. According to Sheriff Nelson, this means that during this period, it will be unlawful to set on fire any inflamable materials, or set any fire for the purpose of clearing clear-ing property, without first securing secur-ing a written permit from the chief firewarden or one of his deputies and complying fully with the terms and conditions of the permit. The proclamation setting up-the up-the fire district was signed this month by J. Whitney Floyd, chief forester-firewarden of Utah. |
