Show Basketball Practice Underway At College With nearly every member of last year's squad reporting for practice Monday. Ray Llndqulst, basketball ( coach at the Branch Agricultural college began preparation for league , competition which begins early in January. i With first praotloe garnet set for the first week In December, Coach Llndqulst will work his squad hard during the next two weeks In an effort ef-fort to find the best performers for his 1948 team. Reporting for practice Monday were Chick Terry, L. C. Miles and Boyd Holyoak, guards; Clark Matthews Mat-thews and Nyles Humpherys, centers, cen-ters, Arden Allred and Llndy Nell-son, Nell-son, forwards, first stringers of last years squad. Other members of the 1947 Bronco squad who will report soon are Hdon Fullmer, Udell Smith, and Donald Neeley. About thirty-five freshmen have been working on fundamentals for the past three weeks, and about twenty-four of these are still on the squad. In addition several members mem-bers of the football squad will report re-port for duty at the end of the grid season. It is too early to predict the strength of the Broncos, but the number of players reporting, so well sprinkled with experienced men, Indicates In-dicates that the school will be well represented In the court game this season. |
