Show Mother of Cedar Woman Dies At Home In St. George Funeral services were conducted at the Stake Tabernacle in St George Saturday, for Mrs. Mary Ann McAllister Paxman, 55, mother of Mrs. Steve Asmus of Cedar City. Mrs. Paxman died at her hruie in St. George on Thursday, November 6, of a cerebral hemorrhage. Mrs. Paxman was born Jan. 11 1892, in St. George, a daughter ot Joseph W. and Mary Ann Miller McAllister. She was graduated at St. George schools and while at-, tending Dixie Junior college was prominent in vocal music circles and operetta productions. She was married to Arthur A. Paxman Jan. 1, 1913, In the St. George LDS temple. She had since been active In LDS church work, serving for 20 years as chorister In the Relief society and Mutual Improvement Im-provement Assn. In St. George. Besides her husband Bhe is survived sur-vived by three daughters and a son: Mrs. Melba Asmus, Cedar City; Mrs. Ferol Williams, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Audrey Tobler and Clair Paxman, Pax-man, St. George; three grand children child-ren and the following brothers and sisters: Joseph W. McAllister, Mrs. Harry Pearce, Mrs. Hyrum Atkln, Mrs. Harry Gentry, and Richard McAllister, St. George, and Mrs. Blnnle Royal, Lchl. |
