Show Business Men Offer Scholarship Awards Checks amounting to $1000 In scholarship awards for Branch Agricultural College students were presented to student body officers on behalf of businessmen of Cedar City, by John 8. Chrlstensen, It was announced by Dr. H. Wayne Drlggs, Director. The scholarship awards, (50 each, will be awarded for the first time during the commencement week activities next spring to twenty outstanding out-standing students In ten academic and activity divisions. The scholarships scholar-ships will be used by students In further studies at BAC the following follow-ing year. John S. Ohrlstenson, Cedar City businessman lnauguarated a drive during the BAG Golden Jubilee year to establish the scholarships. Local firms responded wholeheartedly wholeheart-edly to the Idea, contributing 20 awards to be given In 10 academic and activity fields. Selections of students will be made on the basis of scholarship and college citizenship citizen-ship as expressed In student activities. ac-tivities. Home-making: Home-making: Foods and nutrition, clothing cloth-ing and art, given by Hunter Hardware Hard-ware and Furniture, Charles R. Hunter, manager.
