Show Special Police School In Progress At RAC A special police training school, sponsored by the Utah Peace Officers' Offi-cers' Association, nnd directed by Special Agent L. J. McOee of the FBI is In progress at the Branch Agricultural Agri-cultural College this week, with police po-lice officers from Iron. Washington. Kane and Beaver counties In attendance. at-tendance. The school was opened Monday morning by T. R. Johnson, Ogden. Director of the State Association, and the visitors were welcomed by Sheriff S. C. Lamb, after which Jay C. Newman, Special Agent !n charge addressed the officers on the subject "Your Job A Challenge".. Chal-lenge".. Special Agent McGce conducted conduct-ed classes on such subjects as Note Taking. Report Writing. Interviews and Signed Statements, Technique T.nd Mechanics of Arrests and the Handling of Prisoners. Finger Printing. Print-ing. Testifying and Courtroom Be- I havior. Scientific Aids in Crime Detection, De-tection, etc. He will be assisted today nnd tomorrow to-morrow by Albert M. Marsden, who will discuss "Tlie Law of Arrests nnd Srnrches". nnd by Special Agents Delmnr L. Larson and Joseph Jo-seph P. O'Sulllvan, who will discuss dis-cuss Defensive Tactics. Lt. Marlon A. Snow of the Utah Highway Patrol will dlcuss "The Traffic Problem nnd the Police." |
