Show Stanley Parry Dies In Veterans Hospital Stanley H. Parry, 54, former Cedar Ce-dar City resident and brother of Ed. H. Parry of Cedar City, died on December 9th. in the Veterans hospital hos-pital in California following a lingering ling-ering illness. Funeral services were held at Sawtelle, California, where burial was made in the military cemetery. The services were con-1 ducted by Bishop John Russon of Holh wood Stake. Mr. Parry was born in Cedar City on December 9, 1891. a son of John and Mary Ann Halght Purry, early and prominent pioneers of Cedar City. He was educated in the schools of Cedar City, and after graduating from the Branch Normal school, attended the University of Utah where he received a degree in accounting. He accepted a job with the Holley Rock and Gravels company in Los Angeles as auditor and office manager, man-ager, a position he held for fifteen years. He filled an L D S mission in the Eastern states and spent a year on overseas duty during World War I. On Dcemoer 9, 1919, he married Vera Pace of Cedar City, who survives sur-vives him, together with two daughters, Mrs. Jo Ann Stark, and Mrs Dorothy Smith. Also surviving sur-viving are two brothers, Ed. H. Parry, Cedar City, and Isaac Parry, Par-ry, Ogden; three sisters, Miss Caroline Caro-line Parry, Salt Lake City; Mrs. T. C. Hoyt, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Edna Piisby, Twin Falls, Idaho. |
