Show Rotarians Enjoy Special Program The members of the Rotary Club und their wives enjoyed an excellent program Tuesday evening given by the International committee, with Dr. J. G. Van Zandt, chairman, and Ray Hovey and Theo Anderson, members. The program was of a Spanish theme with musical numbers furnished furn-ished by a String Ensemble composed com-posed of Mrs. Lucille Crockett. MLss Ruth Corry, Mrs. Mary Mac-Donald, Mac-Donald, and Roy L. Halversen, accompanied ac-companied b:- Mrs. E. If. Macfar-lane; Macfar-lane; and a ocal duet by Miss' Sadie Barlocker and Miss Bethel Sylvester. Dr. Van Zandt spoke breifly, emphasizing em-phasizing the International aspects of Rotarism. He reported that he had attended Rotary meetings In fourteen different countries, and could attest to the tremendous Influence In-fluence the organization has on the relations of nations. Following this a forest service motion picture film of the resources re-sources of Alaska was shown, and two films taken by Dr. Van Zandt on visits to India. Sumatra. Java, and the Philippines were shown. The banquet room was decorated with flowers, patriotic colors and flat's of the allied nations. |
