Show Father A. A. LeMay Enters Army School Rev. A. A. LeMay, pastor of Christ the King parish. Cedar City. Is awaiting a call to report at the army chaplains' school at Harvard Har-vard university, Cambridge, Mass.. it was announced Saturday at headquarters head-quarters of the Catholic diocese of Salt Lake. Father LaMay is the second priest of the diocese to be released by the Most Rev. Duane O. Hunt, bishop, for chaplain service with the nation's armed forces. The first was Rev. Charles E. Freegard. pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes parish, Magna, now on duty with the navy. Ordained at St. Patrick's cathedral. cathed-ral. New York City. June 8, 1935, Father LeMay came to Salt Lake City the summer of that year. He was appointed pastor of the newly-created parish the following year. Father LeMay will be replaced at Cedar City by Rev. James T. Torsney, who will be administrator. |
