Show Lions Minstrel To Hi-lite Celebration Thanksgiving Day Once again the feature of the Thanksgiving Day celebration in Cedar City will be the annual Lions Club Minstrel Show, to be presented present-ed in the Public School Auditorium Thursday, November 28th. at 8:00 p. m. Members of the Lions Club have been busy for several weeks preparing pre-paring the show, and are now whip-pint; whip-pint; it llnal shape. As in the past the theme of the show will be kept secret until the curtain raises. However, those in charge of the performance Indicate that the theme is pertinent to the times in Cedar City, and that it offers plenty of opportunity for the usual good-natured good-natured "razzing" of government officials, of-ficials, civic groups and leading citizens. No one should miss the show if they don't want to be "talked about" behind their backs. The musical features of the show should be better this year than ever before, with many of the finest musicians of the town belonging to the club and participating in the performance. Of especial interest will be the double quartet under the direction of Reed Roberts. Gordon Christensen and Piatt Bethers are in charge of the script and production generally assisted by Twain Tippetts as director, and Mrs. Betii Leigh in charge of the music. A number of club members will appear in feature parts of the show for the first time. |
