Show VISITORS FROM ' FAR ID NEAR I ; Home-Coming Proves a Veritable Lore Feast, and Everybody Ex- ; ' pi esses Complete Satisfaction. This has been n gala week for Par-owan. Par-owan. Never before in the history of the town has there been so much fun, and enjoyment crowded into so brief n space of time. There has not been . an idle or wasted hour. Something ; doing every minute has been the mot to of tho committee, and it has been well lived up to. Those doubting Thomases who predicted that tho home-coming "would not amount to much," were certainly anything but true prophetB. Tho town has been filled with vSbU- ors all week, and below is appended n list of the home-comers proper, so far as they were registered. In ad- dition, of course, there were all the . visitors from the county and other , near-by points who were attracted by the amusements offered. The festivities commenced last Sun-, Sun-, day with an interesting meeting' in tho tabernacle. In the evening there ' was an open air band concert on the s park, which was tastefully decorated for this and other occasions during tho home-coming festivities. The band, under the direction of Leon L. Eckles, the new bandmaster, is doing do-ing excellent work and has added much to the success of the whole week, as well as tho enjoyment of this special occasion. The Main street of town was nicc-. nicc-. ly decorated for the celebration, all tho telephone poles being wrapped with flags and bunting, and large wel-, wel-, come banners being displayed at the principal approaches to tho city and across the principal business thoroughfare. thor-oughfare. Monday night tho following excellent excel-lent concert, under the direction of Professor Geo. H. Durham, was rendered ren-dered for the entertainment of all the home-comers. The Concert Program. 1. ' on a tour of the rich Parowan valley ( ' and were shown tho remarkable flowing flow-ing and large pump wells, which have solved tho problem of the reclaiming I of a large portion of that section, which otherwise would bo practically valueless. Tuesday evening the home dramatic "$, troupe, under the direction of Will L. Adams, presented the pretty little dramu, entitled "Alias Jimmie Valentine." Wednesday just after noon a sump-tious sump-tious fruit festival was served on the school campus, to several hundreds of people, ond after all had eaten their fill, bphold tbore remained fifty tubs full. The festival was well arranged and nicely conducted, without a hitch or delay. Besides several kinds of fruit and melons the committee in charge of the affair served cake and cheese.
