Show K2) THE outlook for an amicable settlement of the differences between Uncle Sam and Germany is not quite so reassuring now, and the "I told you So's" are keeping in the shadow for the present. It seemed a little strange that Germany should have completely reversed herself on not only this but all other questions that have arisen since the first incipiency of the war, as to sue for peace at any cost. It has not yet been proven that "Billy' Bryan" was not right in the stand he took against the administration. According to late press dispatches, dis-patches, we are no nearer a settlement of the much mooted question than we were several weeks ago. fR |
