I H The coming week is scheduled to H witness the opening of two more im- H portant business establishments in H Cedar City a new bank, the Iron Commercial & Savings Bank, and the new steam laundry. The bank is to throw its (I'm,!;, open to the public on H Monday morning, and the st -inn laun-B laun-B dry is to make a trial run Wednesday and be ready for regular work on the following Monday morning. B The new bank, which has been in H course of organization for several S months past, and which has secured I , quarters in the Cedar Shoep's As- sociation's block, will have an auspic- ious opening. The quarters have been conveniently arranged, and present a very neat and inviting appearance. Its articles of incorporation have I been duly tiled and its incorporation completed, so that it is vested with full right and authority to conduct 0 'general banking business. Its capital capi-tal stock is fixed at $50,000 and it is understood that this is practically all sub : ' for. The officers and directors of the corporation are as follows: James W. Imlay, Hurricane, president. pres-ident. H. W. Lunt, Cedar City, vice-pres. Wm. R. Palmer, Cedar City, Cashier James W. Imlay, Henry W. Luis'. J. Mount Taylor of Salt Lake City, J. G. Pace and Dr. M. The people of Cedar City have waited wait-ed long and patiently for the opening of the steam laundry, which has also been under way for a long time, and It will be welcome news to the people peo-ple of this place to learn that the institution in-stitution is now about in a position to furnish thorn service. Mr. G. R. Parry is the proprietor, and announces his intention of giving first-class service at reasonable prices. The latest and most approved machinery ma-chinery used in the up-to-date laundries, laund-ries, both for washing and ironing, is-being is-being installed, so that there will no longer be any necessity for anyone in Southern Utah to send to the northern art of the state for any kind of laun-ry laun-ry work. Auto service will be supplied for the collection and delivery of clothes, not only within the limits of Cedar City, but to Parowan and other settlements set-tlements if the volume of business given Justifies. |
