Show The managers of the Ward Hall disclaim any responsibility for the disturbance which occurred at a recent dance, declaring that the particular dance at which the offenses were committed were under the direction of others, who had the hall engaged en-gaged for the evening. ' Without doubt this is the correct statement of the afFair, but there is complaint com-plaint respecting the way the dances are run at other times. There is no doubt that CedarCity is above the average in the manner in which dances are conducted, and we know the men in charge of the Ward Hall to be conscientious in their desire to keep them so, but the tendency the country over towards a loose style of dancing is in the mature of a contagion, and the symptoms are manifesting man-ifesting themselves in this city, It is to be hoped that the hall managers may be able to cope with it. If they do they will deserve the credit of the community. |
