I). Adams depicts the scene on Main Street last Saturday, when the Parowan Volunteers were being honored in the city, en route to Salt Lake City, to report for final examination ex-amination and assignment to duty. The crowd was addressed from the pfrtiro in front of the Cedar City Co-op. by Principal Homer of the B. A. C, Or. Macfarlane ami ex-Senator H. W. Lunt, who in ringing and well chosen words commended the boys upon their bravery anil patriotism, and cautioned them against some of the social evils which would beset their path-ways. Dr. A. N. Leonard acted as master of ceremonies. The boys weie accompanied to this city by a large number of automobiles filled with people from Parowan and Knoch, and were joined here in the trip to Lund by a number more, a total of alout sixty cars composing the impressive procession that went with the boys to the railroad to bid them God-speed and good bye. Following are the names of the patriots from Parowan who enlisted at the call of their country: Eddie Matheson. Scotl Matheson, Merrill Mitchell, Bain Matheson, John Petersen, W. I. Orton. J. C.
