Beaver podple are working diligently dili-gently to make Saturday, April, 25, one of tho "Red lettor days" in the history of the community, and all prosont indications nre that tho "red" will be of a brilliant hu'e. Tho occasion oc-casion is In the form of n "double-header"; "double-header"; in the morning the annual District School Athletic Contest; in tho afternoon, tho Southern High School Division meet. The District School Contest, hold at Murdock in the Spring of tho last two years-has been an unqualified sue cess and promises to be even more so this year because of the increased number of schools represented, and tho keenness of tho rivalry. Hore-to-foro, Beaver schools have won the Pennant and Cup. Because of this fact the other schools are entering the moot this year with 'blood in their eyes". The outcome Is to be keenly Interssling. Tho school winnlnjr most points receives a banner significant of the fact; the county winning the most points is awarded tho cup, presented pre-sented for that purpose by the Mui-dock Mui-dock Academy which it may keep until some othor county in future contests con-tests shall win it from them. A silver Medal will be awarded for first place in each event, a bronse medal for second place, and a brown and blue ribbon for third place. AD contestants will be ontertainod froe of charge 'by tho Beaver people, and at noon on the day of the contest a banquet ban-quet will bo given by the Murdoch Academy to all participants in the events. In the nfternoon occurs the Southern South-ern High School Division meet, comprising com-prising Dixie Academy, the Branch A. C, and Murdock. This meet decides de-cides which of tho three schools shall be leprcsentcd at the Stato High School Meet. Naturally interest in the affair is intense. Tho day will undoubtedly be a bif one and should be of vital interest to all Southern Utah. Following is tin program: 9:30 a. m Band Concert 10:00 a. m. ... District School Meet 12:30 m. .. Banquet for District School Contestants. 2:00 p. m. . . Southern High School Division Meet 8:30 p. m Grand Ball and Awarding of Medals and Trophies. r During the recess between the tw"c meets, luncheon may bo puichaseci on tho Campus. The Grove will bo turned into a Pic-Nic ground, where eveiy one may mingle with friends.
