Show BERYL. Beryl, Utah, Feb. 7, 1917. Beryl has not been heard from for some time through the columns of The Record. However, we are still on the map. The last gathering of the B. Y. H. Club was trie Christmas entertainment enter-tainment on December 24th. On account ac-count of the extreme cold and the great distance many of our members are compelled to go, we have adjourned ad-journed our meetings until the arrival of springtime. m The little church building is ready for occupancy, and we expert to have church services and organize a Sunday Sun-day School in the very near future. We are delighted to welcome our friends and neighbors on their return to the Escalante Valley, after their Ave months absence. Mr. end Mrs. De Arman returned last week from Los Angeles. They tell us they "have come to stay this time." Good for them. We like to hear such state -menu expressed. Mr. and Mrs. De Arman were the guests of Mr. J. M. Robinson, railroad rail-road agent at Beryl, on their arrival here. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. C. Jenkins of Hotel Beryl entertained them at dinner last Wednesday evening. e Our genial friend, Mr. Thomas Brady, arrived lust evening from Ar-tesia, Ar-tesia, California. We are glad to see him looking so fit. He has more faith than ever in this country und is happy to be back in the freedom of the valley. val-ley. His sons Fay and Lav retire are still in California, but Mr. Brady reports re-ports that both are anxious to return. ' .. ' . . Mrs. J. W. Mrs. Clickenger has H spent the winter with her sons end jH their families here. t j ,1 Mrs. Palmer, mother of the two Mrs. 1 Clickenger, has been visiting them since December. She leaves Friday for her home in Oxnard, California, H taking Mrs. Owen Clickenger and her , H little boy, James Owen, with her.
