Show WHATEVER else can be said of Mr. Jenkins, candidate for governor before the coming Republican convention, con-vention, there seems to bo absolutely no doubt as to his position on the prohibition question. From all accounts ac-counts he is an out and out prohibitionist, prohibit-ionist, and if ho possesses the other qualifications to fit him for the position posi-tion of governor, he will likely be a strong favorito before tho convention. But there arc those who arc predicting that none of the candidates now considered con-sidered as prominent will be successful success-ful in landing the nomination, but that some dark horse will enter the race at the last moment and capture the prize. |
