Show I nrmal notes. I" Last" Friday in chapel Mr. Trtl j lestrup played a violin solo. Miss Jean Urie recited a piece of' Scotch dialect. Mr. Herbert Haighb gave an interesting talk. The First Years held their class party, March 30th, at Rass Jones'. Last Tuesday night the First Year boys and the Second Year boys played a game of base ball. The First Years won by a score of 18 to 10. The base, ball game between the Third and Fourth Years will be played Wednesday. j The basket ball game between the Third Year girls and the First Year girls, will be played Thursday, Thurs-day, i Tho ball given by the Fourth I Years, March 29th, was successful success-ful in spite of the storm Friday afternoon. ' Tho ice creams, sod waters, at. games were very ;muci enjoyed; and Hie hall was preftily decorated with paper palisies and streamers in tho class colors. Although the class" purse was not filled to overflowing, overflow-ing, the Fourth Years maintained their reputation for "showing 'people a good time," j The Dramatic Club will play tho Amazon in St. George Apiil 5th. We wish thorn success: and shall feel woll satisfied if the St. George people give,theni tho same loyal patronage that the Cedar pcoplo extended to them. From past exporience, wo know that they will. Work on "The Mascot" is progressing. pro-gressing. It is a gigantic task, but Mr. Tollestrup's wonderful patience and perseverance will conquer all difficulties. He ex-pects ex-pects to present tho opera within with-in tho next two weeks. Last Wednesday in chapel, Mrs. Jacobson, who has been or-'ganizing or-'ganizing the public library, delighted de-lighted students and teachers 'with her inspiring talk on the ; value of the right kind of books in public libraries; and on the necessity of teachers being able to give children an appreciation of good literature. Vira Perkins sang "Oalvnry." After chapel, tho lady teachers teach-ers enjoyed tho company of Mrs. Jacobson ai an informal luncheon in the Domestic Science depart-; ment. I |
