Show For Celebration of Utah Day. Governor William Spry has issued a proclamation for the celebration of Utah day in which he recommends that the men, women and children of the state devoteijthoir attention to the subject of Utah and her industries in-dustries and join in spreading abroad a good word for the state of Utah. Plans for this day were outlined out-lined at a recent meeting of the Unih Development league and Utah Press association, and Governor Spry has been at all times in hearty accord with the movement. Following is the Governor's proclamation; By the Governor of the State of Utah, A Recommendation. Concurring in the suggestion of the Utah Development league that a day be celebrated in the interests of Utah, I, William Spry, Governor, do hereby recommend rec-ommend that Thursday, April 25, 1912, be observed by the people of the state as "Utah I Day." Filled with promise as an occasion oc-casion upon which state and community com-munity loyalty may find inspira-ton inspira-ton and encouriagement; rich in possibility as a time for state and community uplift, the day should appeal strongly to the people of the state. I especially commend Utah day and its objects ob-jects to the educators of the state, urging upon them the excellent ex-cellent opportunity it will afford to direct the thoughtful attention of the children to the magnificent magnifi-cent resources of our commonwealth. common-wealth.
