Show State Library Convention. -Sometime be ween ,jthe first, and the tenth of June, a 'State : Library Convention js5to be helC in Salt Lake City. To this con- vention will be called all the library workers in the State -, public and school librarians, , I members of library boards, and others interested in ""the move-j move-j ment. The purposes that prompt i this convention are .tp discuss , the vital problems connected! (with library ivork;-.li,.givethei. j cause such strength and impetus 'as comes from the esprit dej 1 corps; and to organize a stato ' library association for Utah. It is hoped that some promi- nent member of the American ,' Library Association can be brought hero to deliver addresses 1 on this occasion. Mrs. Jacobson f will be present, and prominent! state officials, as well as other ' leading library workers within , the state. i LIBRARY SUMMER SCHOOL. Beginning June 10th, anil con- j tinuing for six weeks, a summer , school for librarians to be given t at the University of Utah, Mrs. Jacobson, the library organizer, , will have charge of the school, , and conduct most of the courses. I she is to be assisted by Mi3s Esther Nelson, the University librarian, who will give the course in reference work, and by Professor Howard 11, Drjggs, who will o.Tar a course in Books for Young People, 'lhe library school is planned to train both ' the librarians that have positions and those that are planning to , enter this field of work.
