Show TO CIRCLE GLOBE ON TWENTY BUCKS New York Newspaper Man Visits Cedar on Hoboing Trip Around World. An interesting visitor to Cedar City this week is Mr. Robert Ray, "Round tho World Hobo," for n New York daily paper. Mr. Ray, who is at present pres-ent traveling with Messrs. Rolln Johnson John-son and George Sargent, of Muskegon. Michigan, left New York with only twenty dollars cash in his pocket, and will try to beat his way around tho world, writing his experiences on tho way for the paper he represents. Lewis Lew-is Rnmsny's painting of tho Ccdnr Breaks hanging in the Bank of Southern South-ern Utah, aroused his interest in this great local scenic wonder, nnd he wns shown tho smaller painting of the snmo view in Architect Jones' office. Zion Canyon was also an object of interest, in-terest, nnd Mr. Ray expected to persuade per-suade his fellow travelers to visit that natural wonder on their wny to los Angeles. Mr. Ray was in Salt Lake City October 13, where ho interviewed Governor Bamberger and received a letter from tho executive certifying to tho visit of tho unusunl "hobo." It was nt Salt Lake City that tho newspaper news-paper mnn fell in with his present traveling friends, who will take him ns far ns Los Angeles. Arriving there. Mr. Ray will turn north to Snn Francisco, Fran-cisco, where ho will tackle the problem prob-lem of getting passage to Hnwaii, on his way across tho Pacific. |
