Show Miff PAPER IE PUBLIC Paper Change Name to Avoid Deceiving People Tho name of the Dcseret Farmer, the official organ of the Agricultural college of Utah, has been changed to "Utah Farmer," Farm-er," therenson being, according to George Collinwood, field editor edi-tor of tho periodical, that the word Deseret is often misleading, mislead-ing, giving the thought of desert, des-ert, rather than that 'intended. The officials of the college have j recently decided to make the perodical instrumental in attract-! ing eastern fanners to Utah, an J in order to make it most efficient effic-ient in this regard, it was considered con-sidered necessary to make the change in the name. Tho work of the periodical is j to be considerably broadened, , including besides that now be- ing done, a series of articles on ) the resources and the agricultur- j al possibilities of Utah. Mr. Collinwood will leave shortly for St. George to prepare data for tho first article of the series, and from there he will visit the various agricultural districts in the state, giving attention to each one in a separate article.
