Mrs. Hulda Sandin Barnhurst of Kane county is in the city on a visit to her mother, Mrs-. Sandin, San-din, and other relatives. Mrs. Barnhurst was reared in Cedar City but removed from the city more than ten years ago, this being her first visit to her old home during that time. Miss Libbie Urie of Hamilton's Fort, who has been teaching at Grantsville, this state, returned to her home last week. She was accompanied by a Miss Chopin of Salt Lake City, who will spend the summer visiting relatives rela-tives throughout the southern part of the state. W. S. Musser, the druggist, will leave for Salt Lake Monday to spend a few days visiting relatives rel-atives and friends and, incidentally, incident-ally, to gather a few ideas which he may use to better serve his customers. This will be his first visit to Salt Lake since locating in this city a year since. One of the most pleasant social so-cial affairs of the year was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Foster last Saturday evening. Therwero some sixty guests present, and every one was loud in praise of the Jiospitality of the host and hostess. Games were indulged in and a short program was rendered by some of the most talented musicians of the city. Following the program pro-gram delicious refreshments were served, and as the midnight mid-night hour approached the guests regretfully took their departure. . Miss Loren Watson of Paro-wan Paro-wan arrived in Cedar City Tuesday Tues-day and will spend the summer at the home of her brother, Millard Mil-lard Watson. We should like to see the base ball club thoroughly organized and arrangements made to affiliate affili-ate with the state base ball Jeague. There are a number of excellent players among the local boys and if given an opportunity would give a good account of themselves in competition with the average semi-professional teams. Sunday morning a fishing party, par-ty, composed of S. J. Fotser, cashier of the Bank of Southern Utah, Dr. C. M. Clark, Dr. Robt. A. Thorley, and C. S. Wilkinson, departed for parts where "fishin' was good," and after spending two days in pursuit of the finny tribe, returned home Wednesday. Wednes-day.
