Show PRICES GO UP AT STOCK YARDS 1200 Head of Sheep From Utah Received Bring Good Prices at Kansas City Kansas City Stock Yards, July 26, 1912. Cattle received here this week 36,900, last week 31. 600 same week last year 48,400. There has been a considerable uplift in prices this week, most noticeable on quarantine cattle. I Middle grade quarantine steers are 35 to 50 higher than the middle of last week. Steers sold in the Southern division today at $5.00 and $5.10 that were not as good as some that had to go at $4.70 the middle of last week. Buyers persisted in their fight on the market the first of the week, but the slight run at all points made their pretensions appear ap-pear flimsy. Retailers claim they cannot get what they want at the wholesalers', because of bareness bare-ness of stocks. Shippers have wisely listened to the growing grass and corn this week, rather Shan to the "bunc" of the buyers buy-ers when they claimed there was no outlet for t're meat. Stock-ers Stock-ers and feeders have gone on the rocks this week, and prices are off 25 to 50 cents, but a good many dealers think there will be a scrimmage for these cattle a little later, if the corn makes good, and that prices for them will be high all fall.
