The rendering of these III was most exquisite and of a high lis degree of excellence and Miss Him Higbee was without doubt If worthy of the praise bestowed Bw by a grateful audience. Weber's' 'Invitation to the Dance," in which the various phases, frdm the knock at the door, the invitation, the dance, to the return home, were plainly discerned; and a ronda were received with no leas a degree de-gree of approval. Mr. Staheli also added to the pleasure of the evening with a violin solo, "Cavatina," given with delightful precision in every detail; accompanied by Miss Higbee at the piano. The evening was one of profit and pleasure for those who attended at-tended and every portion of the program was appreciated to the fullest extent. The Board of Education has been fortunate in having obtained as teacher in the academy an exponent of such proficiency as Miss Higbee. Washington County News. |
