Doyle and Mrs. Hardesty cut for i the head prize. The former was the lucky one, and was given a pretty I souvenir plate. Mrs. J. T. McClean I claimed second honors and won a : dainty china pitcher. The consolation i prize fell to Mrs. Marks. A most delicious de-licious lunch was served by the hostess, host-ess, consisting of nut salad, sandwiches, sand-wiches, olives, salted nuts, cake and coffee. The club will meet with Mrs. J. P. Holloran next week. 5' Mrs. S. D. Endres's and Mrs. A. W. Bruck of Cincinnati, mother and sis'-ter sis'-ter of Mrs. C Heugebauer, have arrived ar-rived in Pueblo and will make a stay of several months. Mr. Bruck, who accompanied the ladies, returned immediately im-mediately to Cincinnati. Edward Shields of Denver is visiting visit-ing friends in Pueblo. Mrs. Frank O. Shafer of 1320 Wabash Wa-bash avenue, ast last Thursday for Lyndon, Kan., where she was summoned sum-moned by the death of her uncle, J. W; Keenan. Mrs. Shafer expected to be away two weeks but she had scarcely arrived there when she received re-ceived word her husband was suffering suffer-ing from an attack of appendicitis. Mr. Shafer's symptoms are now favor- J able and it is hoped his recovery will be speedy. j Mrs. E. A. Waldron, Miss Waldron and John W. Waldron left last Saturday Satur-day via the Missouri Pacific road for New York. Feb. 28 they will sail for Europe via the Old Dominion line. Fred Bullen of the Pueblo Bridge company left 'Monday for Kansas City. Martin Sullivan, an old resident cf Pueblo, is in the city with a view of remaining. He has been in Texas for some years. Miss Maud Mcintyre and Miss i3ay Petitt of Denver were in the city Monday Mon-day visiting relatives and friends. i |
