Mr. and Mrs. James Ivers. The Misses Wall, daughters of Colonel Col-onel E. A. Wall, accompanied their father to Denver last week. Mrs. E. M. Charlton left last week for a six week's trip to New York. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Homer and little lit-tle daughter, Katherine,. are spending a few days in Provo canyon. Miss Augusta McCarthy returned to her home in Boston' last week after spending the summer visiting in th city. Miss Finn, organist of the cathedral at St. Louis, spent a few days in Salt Lake last week. Miss Finn was accompanied ac-companied by her brother. Rev. S. J. Finn, the well-known author. John McCooey is spending a few weeks in the north investigating mining min-ing interests. , Clarence and Ired McFadden left last week for the east to enter college. Clarence will enter the Boston university univer-sity to study law and Fred will take a course of civil and mining engineering at Houghton, Mich. The best wishes of a legion of friends follow the popular popu-lar young men in their new pursuits. Mrs. James C. Leary and her daughter, daugh-ter, Lprine, will leave next week for a visit to Kansas City. Many charming parties were given during the past week in honor of Miss Cora Ferguson, whose marriage occurs next week. -- F. J. Hagenbarth, the prominent Idaho Ida-ho stockman, was in the city yesterday. Miss Grace Williamson, the charming little daughter of Charles Williamson, returned home during the week after a week's visit with relatives in Cleveland, Cleve-land, O. W. P. Noble has returned from a business trip to Nevada. -S Carl Gebhardt, a nephew of Mrs. J. D. Wood, was seriously injured in the Daly-West mine last Monday. The young man was brought to this city for medical treatment, and his many friends will rejoice to near that he is on the road to recovery. Paul Belcher has returned home. Miss Nellie Cullen will leave in a few days for St. Mary's- academy, Notre No-tre Dame, Ind.. where she will spend the coming year. |
