Violinist Vio-linist Master Edward Fitzpatrick There will be a special rehearsal held ! on Sunday at 3 o'clock for the wee girls of the choir. The children of the Junior choir are requested to attend the rehearsal on next Saturday afternoon at 3:15 sharp. Parents are requested to send "the children chil-dren to rehearsal punctually' and regularly. Miss Genevieve Tyo was the little I soloist at the 9 o'clock mass last Sun-i Sun-i day. Miss Kathleen Fitzpatrick was the soloist at benediction on Sunday evening. even-ing. She was accompanied on violin by her clever young, brother, Edward. Miss Mabel Stephens will be the soloist solo-ist at the 9 o'clock mass on Sunday. Rehearsal for the members of the Boy's choir is' held on Saturday afternoon after-noon at 5 o'clock. Miss Etha Collins will be the soloist at benediction on Sunday night. Mrs. Al "Whiteman rendered Dudley Buck'6 "Ave Maria" for the offertory at St. Mary's last Sunday. Mrs. White-man White-man has a very pretty . soprano voice that is well trained.' - -$ Last Monday being the Feast of the Purification, the candles were blessed before -mass by Rt. Rev. Bishop Scan-Ian. Scan-Ian. Mass was celebrated at 8 o'clock. Rt. Rev. Bishop delivered a brief but interesting instruction on the holy day. . There was no meeting of the Promoters Promo-ters of the League last Sunday, owing j to the absence of Mr. George Keel, the secretary of the league. Friday being the first Friday of the month, the members of the Sacred Heart league attended mass and received re-ceived holy communion in a body. Rev. Father Bulfamente went to Eureka Eu-reka last Sunday to celebrate mass, as Rev. Father Donahue, the pastor, was seriously ill. Father Donahue's many friends will be pleased to hear that he is much improved this week. On last Sunday, after the last mass at St. Mary's, Father Morrissey baptized bap-tized the Infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raphael Mauro, who was born on the 19th of last November. The little one was given the name of Frances Anna, and Ignatius Falcone and Miss Marzula Pasqualina acted as sponsors. On Tuesday morning Rev. Father Curran baptized the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marianni Cuilll. The little lit-tle one was named Anna Maria. The sponsors were. Michael Riche and Mrs. Peter Vincelli. -V Rev. Thomas Galligan of Park City" has gone to New York for a brief stay. Rev. Father Begley went to the Park on Monday to attend to the parochial ! duties during Father Galligan's absence. ab-sence. There will be no rehearsal for the members of the 11 o'clock choir this week. Next week the choir will begin active rehearsing on the music for Easter. Mozart's "Gloria," from the Twelfth Mass. will be given for Easter, and probably the entire mass. Rev. Father O'Begley celebrated mass at Bingham last Sunday. The members of the Children of Mary Sodality will receive holy communion in a body at the 9 o'clock mass Sunday. The regular monthly, meeting will be held at St. Mary's academy in the afternoon aft-ernoon at 3 o'clock. All the members are requested to be present. By special permission of the reverend director. Rev. Father Morrissey, the members may receive holy communion at either of the early masses. Last Monday being the Feast.of St. Blase, the ceremony of blessing the throats took place at St. Mary's and St. Patrick's. Rev. Father Morrissey officiated at St. Mary's and Rev. Father Fa-ther Curran at St. Patrick's. Over 150 were present at St. Mary's and forty at I St. Patrick's. Rev.
