Show North Wales' Invitation to Mr. Thomas Sexton. At the meeting of the Bangor, North Wales, P. A. McHugh branch of the United Irish league of Great Britain, on Sunday, Mr. C. Durkan presiding, after aft-er a discussion on local matters the members being heartily recommended to make better use of the reading room in the Catholic club, the following resolutions res-olutions was unanimous adopted: "That, next to the advent of home rule for Ireland, nothing would give us greater pleasure than to see Mr. Sexton once more in the arena of active ac-tive political life." At a meeting of the executive committee com-mittee of the Greater Cork International Internation-al exposition on Monday Count Plunk-ett Plunk-ett was appointed secretary. Lord Mayor Fitzgerald suggested the establishment es-tablishment of an Irish industrial institute, in-stitute, with headquarters in Dublin. ' $- On Saturday night a terrific explosion of acetylene gas occurred in Mr. John McCormick's grocery establishment. Castle stret, Nenagh, causing much damage to the premises, it shattered j the ceiling of the shop and smashed the plate glass windows. It is supposed sup-posed that the explosion was the result re-sult of an accumulation of gas. Though the shop was crowded at the time, fortunately for-tunately no one was injured. |
