Show LEADVILLE, COLO. Death, of Mrs. Dan C. Tobin. (From the Gunnison City News Champion.) Cham-pion.) On New Year's day at Clark's sanitarium sani-tarium in Pueblo occurred the death of Mrs Tobin, wife of Dan C. Tobin, the eu knovn mining man of White Pine and operator of the Eureka and Erie mines at that point. Mrs. Tobin had spent several summers sum-mers at White Pine with her husband, and with her four promising children. Many friends will sorrow with the hus-oand hus-oand in this terrible bereavement. Jan. 5: The large auditorium of the Church of the Annunciation was filled to over-. over-. flowing yesterday afternoon when the services were held over the remains of the late Mrs. D. C. Tobin. The coffin j was almost hidden from sight by the (numerous floral offerings which were (beautiful beyond the ordinary.' The funeral address was by Father Gibbons. Jn his remarks he dwelt touchingly upon the beauty of the Christian life j and character of Mrs. Tobin and referred re-ferred feelingly to the fact that she left four little children to the care of her bereaved husband. Rocky Mountain News, Jan. 11: Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Brown will again take up their residence in Denver, and will reopen their home which has been leased for some time past to Governor Orman. Mr. Brown, one of the prominent prom-inent mining men of Leadville and part owner of the Ibex mine, has just returned re-turned from a trip around the world. Mrs. Brown has been in Leadville for some days where she attended the funeral of her sister-in-law, Mrs. D. C. Tobin. She will take Mrs. Tobin's four j little children to Denver with her and place them in school at Loretto Heights academy. |
