Mrs. James Berry, who was operated on last week for appendicitis, is getting get-ting along nicely. Miss Mary McGhie spent the past week here in the interest of the census bureau.- A surprise party was given on Mr. and Mrs. M. J. McGill Thursday evening. even-ing. A pleasant time was enjoyed by all present. Mrs. A. McBride of Salt Luke is visiting vis-iting here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas O'Keeffe. John Fitzgerald and George Quinn left here last week for a trip to Idaho. Tom Waldon paid the metropolis a business visit last week. He returnel home Thursday. Mr. .George Garvin returned from Salt Lako Friday. Her health is somewhat some-what improved. Mr. M. H. Hennessy and daughter came out from the city Monday. Mr. Michael Condon visited Salt Lake the first of the week. Mr. and Mrs. M.-'J. Daily entertained at dinner Friday. Thier guests were Mr. and Mrs. F. Daily, Miss Mary McGhie, Mc-Ghie, Mr. B. Hampton, John A. Malid and Airs. F. Young. On account of disappointment of date with the Rio Grande railroad, the Ancient An-cient Order of Hibernians' excursion will be on the Union Pacific to Glen-wood Glen-wood Park, Ogden, on the 13th of August. Aug-ust. Airs. Tim Sullivan came out from the city Sunday and returned Alonday afternoon. af-ternoon. - T. J. Gavin is here for the past week representing the Irish Literary and Art association of Chicago. Air. and Airs. Al. C. Harrington left here last week for- Colorado. On Tuesday evening the Ladies' Auxiliary Aux-iliary of the A. O. H. presented Mrs. Al. C. Harrington with a pretty jewel case, as a token of the esteen in which she was held by the society. Thursday evening,- at the home of Airs. S. Wilson, a party was given in honor of Charlie Conlon's birthday. Air. John Clark is here from Creede, Colo., to visit for a few clays with his father and brothers. Airs. William Fahy returned from Butte Tuesday, where she had an enjoyable en-joyable ' visit with her daughter for the past month. Air. John Doyle spent a few days in the first of the week "resting up"' in the city of saints. Airs. John Aluraha returned to her home in Butte Alonday. Air.
