Show I COLORADO SPRINGS. j 1 On last Friday our worthy pastor. Very Rev. Father G. Raber. returned from a trip to Florida and Cuba. Father Fa-ther Raber was delighted with his short stay in the sunny south and the trip has benefited him much. The members of St. Mary's parish are much pleased that their shepherd has returned to his fold. Father Raber was not uneasy whilst away, as he knew that his able and zealous assistant assist-ant would manage the parochial affaus in g-iod order. IV-v. Edward Clark, chaplain at the Glockner sanitarium,' delivered a very eloquent lenten sermon at St. Mary'd church on last Sunday evening. Hauth. of Albany, X. Y spent Wednesday and Thursday here, and left for Santa Barbara, Cal., on Thursday evening. Sweeney, who were married a few weeks ago at St. Patrick's church. Pueblo, are now at home to their many friends at 219 East Monument street. More than twenty pupils of St. Mary's rehcol were present at the cosey home of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Fitzgerald. 1122 Glen avenue, on last Friday afternoon to tender a delightful surprise to Their classmate, Miss Grace Fitzgerald. The appointments of the surprise party were particularly well arranged by Mesdames Fitzgeralc1, Roth and Husur.g. Covers were laid for the twenty school companions. The table was decorated with pink and white carnations. The afternoon and evening were loyously spent in games, music and In partaking of the goodly supply of ice cream and cake which was provided by the pupils of tier class, the following being a list of school chums present: Misses Hortense Hu-sung, Hu-sung, Margaret and Katherine Ryan, Margaret Flannery. Marie Clough, Rita Dawson, Ellen and Mary Lee, Marie Landmesser, Margaret Hayden, Minnie Bumstead; Masters Edward Huneke, Fred and Paul Callahan, Towbrldge Bumstead. Richard Clough, George and ; Malcolm McLennon. All were delighted delight-ed with the good time at Grace's home. Miss Sadie Colburn was pleasantly surprised at her home, 220 South Tenth y street, last week, bu a number of her friends, the occasion being her twenty- second birthday. After a dainty lunch at her home they repaired to the Kin- nikinnick, where dancing was indulged t in until a late hour. Those present were Misses Colburn. Flaherty.
