The members of the company and their. legion of friends enjoyed I thimselve.-i immensely, and all ex-! ex-! laes-std the opinion that the entertain-' entertain-' ment wes the greatest succtsH that this ' Popular organization has yet achieved. The first order of the evening wa. a diiiil by the guards, which was well :extvuttd and evoked enthusiastic applause. ap-plause. The boys are making great progress and are rapidly mastering the manual of arn.s and the evolutions. After the -conclusion of the drill the social session was called to order by Mjjo:- V,'. JO. Deeney, who acted as master of ceremonies. The services of the Red Cross society were then called in requisition, not, however, to carry off the dead and wounded, but rather to furnish the living liv-ing with refreshments, which was done with a lavish hand.
