Show BESSEMER, COLO. Tom Ryan, a well known resident of Bessemer, is lying badly crushed at St. Mary's hospital, the result of an accident which occurred in the D. & R. G. yarris last Friday morning about 11:30 o'clock. Ryan had Ajacked up" the end of a car and was at work underneath un-derneath making some repairs when the jack slipped and the car falling, caught the man, inflicting injuries which are regarded as serious. The car was at once raised and the injured man was taken to the union depot to which point an ambulance was summoned sum-moned and the sufferer was sent to the hospital, where he is believed to be in a critical condition. Miss Jennie Maguire has returned to her home in Bessemer after an extended ex-tended visit with friends at Ripley, Kan. f With few exceptions the Austrian people of Bessemer Monday turned out to pay a last tribute to the memory of Mrs. Ursula Sulj, whose funeral was held at St. Mary's church at 9 a. m. The church was crowded when Father Cyril-Zupan, assisted by Fathers Adel-bert Adel-bert and Burger, began a solemn high mass for the repose of the soul of a w:oman who was universally admired and respected by her people. Music was furnished for the mass bv the cb St. Mary's, of which Mrs. Sulj and" her husband had been members, and an orchestra or-chestra led by Mat Jermap furnished the accompaniment. Immediately following fol-lowing the beautiful service for the ' dead the remains, borne by the pallbearers pall-bearers consisting of John H. Rcitz, ; Frank Hocevar, Nick Badavinaz, Nick Paremeda, George Julicu and Paul Culriga, were placed in the hearse and : taken to Rivefview, accompanied by 1 hundreds of sorrowing friends. Ursula Sulj was 24 years of age and was a member of Sentgur, province of J Krein, Austria, She leaves a husband 1 and one child to mourn. |
