Show SOCIAL AND PERSONAL i i Mrs. George J. Gibson and her little daughter, Eloise, will be at home Tiere for Thanksgiving, after several weeks spent in Washington, D. C, with her parents. Mrs. O. S.-Williams and son, Donald, are visiting friends in Riverside and Los Angeles, cal. Mrs. Frederick Piper and children have gone to Chicago to join Mr. Piper, where they will make their home. - Airs, lieorge A. Snow of Chicago is here visiting her sisters, Mrs. J. F. Grant and Mrs. James Fennemore. Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Hagenbarth have returned from Chicago. Mr. Hagenbarth Ha-genbarth and Hugh Wood left Wednesday Wed-nesday for Mexico. Mrs. Wood and children are expected from Spencer, Ida,, to spend Thanksgiving with Mr. and Mrs.(J. D. Wood. Mrs. P. J. Quealy, who has been spending some time in the city, returned re-turned Wednesday to her home in Kemmerer, Wyo., and later will go east for the holidays, which she will spend with her son, who is at school near Boston. A matinee party was given Wednesday Wednes-day afternoon for Mrs. Parker by Mrs. John C. Daly. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Cosgriff entertained enter-tained at dinner Friday evening at their home. The guests were Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kearns. Mr. and Mrs. David Keith. Mr. and Mrs. James Ivers, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Wood. Miss -May Kervin and Mr. J. E. Cosgriff. Many dinners preceded the charity ball Tuesday night, Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Stowe being among the hosts and entertaining en-tertaining guests at their home. The table was decorated in deep red roses, and lit with candles in red shades. The guests were Mr. and Mrs. D. Elliott jvcw., ,ui. mu 4urs. oeorge ni. ttacon, Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Gustin. Dr. and Mrs. Robert Roy Hampton, Miss Jane Howat and Dr. Frank Steele. Mrs. Stowe is a charming hostess and, needless need-less to state, her guests greatly enjoyed a perfectly appointed dinner. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Kelso were vis-, itors in the city from Manti during thei wek. Mr. and Mrs. S. G. Murray will leave next week for a month's visit in Arizona. Ari-zona. The little daughter of jtfr. and Mrs. E. G. O'Donnell has been seriously ill for the past week, but is now convalescing. convales-cing. Mrs. Thomas Lampbugh has been ill for the past week but is now convales-einir. The many friends,-of popular Bert Cramer will be pleased to hear that he is recovering from his recent accident. In recent issues pf the daily papers and The Intermountain Catholic the name of Miss Agnes Cosgrove on a program of a St. Mary's academy entertainment en-tertainment was mis-spelled. Miss Cos-grove Cos-grove is a very talented and accomplished accom-plished young lady of whom St. Mary's is justly proud. Gordon H. Place has returned to Ely after a visit to this city. Mrs. Belcher, sister of J. E. Dooly, is I convalescent from an attack of typhoid , fever. The Intermountain Electric Supply company is putting up three five-lamp ornamental posts on West South Temple Tem-ple street, between the Sharon block and Richards street. Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Roberts are here visiting the Daly family, and will remain till after Christmas. Mrs. Thomas Homer and her daughter, daugh-ter, Kathleen, have gone to Los Angeles, An-geles, to remain for the winter and possibly longer. |
