Show Wedding Bells. A very interesting double wedding tiok place Thursday evening. Nov. 14, in Logan avenue chapel. Rev. Father McMenamin performed the ceremony that made Mifs Mary A. Simpson the wife of Lewis E. Hanna, while at the same time her sister, Miss Evelyn Simpson, became Mrs. Charles A. Scott. Miss Mary Simpson was attended by Miss Irene Churc i, and Howard Han-na, Han-na, brother of the groom, was best man. Miss Evelyn Simpson's maid of honor was Miss Mary Carroll, while Mr. Scott was attended by Sherwood Simpson. The brides were gowned in white silk mull, with long tulle veils, and carried bride's roses. The maids of honor also wore white. The church was beautifully decorated, and the whole scene was a charminsr and effec tive one. After the ceremony a reception recep-tion was held at the home of the brides' parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Simpson, 90S Eleventh street. The house was elaborately decorated in pink and white carnations, and this color scheme was carried out In the refreshments. Mr. and Mrs. Hanna will reside in Denver, but Mr. Scott took his bride to Eldorado, Eldo-rado, Okla.. where he is established in business. Mr. Scott and Mr. Hanna are converts to the Catholic faith, having hav-ing recently been instructed and baptized bap-tized by Rev. Father McMenamin. Miss Aline. Mr T.n ll P-Min nno r.f rvon- ver's very popular daughters and a gifted elocutionist, was married ii Wednesday, Nov. 6, to Patrick V. Don-ney, Don-ney, a wealthy stockman of Plattsburg, Mo. The ceremony was performed in Sacred Heart church at nuptial maxs by Rev. Father Barry, S. J. After mass the bridal party and intimate friends partook of a wedding breakfast at the bride's home, 2736 Welton street. Mr. and Mrs. Donney left the same day for Kansas City, where they will make their home. Miss Mildred Colligan and Albert Des I Rocher, two members of the "Just Out Of College" COmoanv. were the nrinri- pals in a pretty wedding celebrated Thursday morning, Nov. 7, in St. Leo's church. Rev. Father O'Ryan officiating at high nuptial mass. Miss Ethel Lloyd attended the bride, while the best man was Lester Crawford. The bride's mother, Mrs. J. F. Mullen, came out from New York to be present on the occasion. After the ceremony the bridal party and members of the company com-pany enjoyed an elaborate wedding breakfast at the St. James hotel. |
