The choir k : is "under the special patronage of the bishop and the children are always happy to receive a visit from him. His -y visits generally result in "tiats and feasts." and one young miss remarked Saturday, after the bishop left the choir hall, "that she just knew there was something in the wind," and there will be, too, on Saturday. I ' ' The beautiful Christmas music was I repeated last Sunday at the 11 o'clock I ; mass. There will be no rehearsal for I the members of the choir until Mon- I day, Jan. 15. The singers worXed hard not only on the Christmas music, but S have been untiring workers since Oc- I tobcr, so a little vacation will not f come amiss. St. Mary's has the finest I church choir in the city just now. and J those In charge of the -hoir mean to I keep it the best too. The choir has I risht now six fine solo singers and a pood ensemble. One weak feature Is the lack of enough tenor support, i but two tenor voices are premised for I . the rest of the year. They will be I fc giadlv welcomed by the members and V psirtk-ularly by -Mr. Veltz. who has j l;f en doing good work entirely un- fiided. and the music is certainly too h bard for one tenor. ! ; f !The promoters of the Sacred Heart 1 eag'.ie hob! their usual monthly meet-1"? meet-1"? hist .Sunday and received Holy if ".'iTm:union in a body on i riday.
