Show BUTTE, MONT. A pamphlet dealing with the life and work of the late Rev. Father Callahan has been published at the instance of the Ancient Order of Hibernians of this city. It is a sixteen-page book and contains con-tains pictures of the deceased priest, the old and new churches of the Sacred Heart. Bishop Carroll and Bishop Scan-nell. Scan-nell. together with a sketch of his life, his work in this city, the funeral services serv-ices and the comments of the various city papers on the death of Father Callahan. The pamphlets will be sold at 23 cents each at the Catholic church doors after the various masses for several weeks. From the proceeds of this book the Ancient An-cient Order of Hibernians propose to erect a monument over the grave of Father Callahan. The funeral of James O'Donnell took place last Monday morning at 9 o'clock from the residence of his sister, Mrs. Johanna Depauli. 312 Colorado street, proceeding to St. Patrick's church, where a high mass of requiem w as celebrated cel-ebrated by the Rev. Father Batons of St. Lawrence church. Walkerville. P. J. Nolan, a member of the firm of Nolan Bros., hardware merchants, . and one of the oldest and most highly respected re-spected citizens of Livingston, died on Wednesday of last week, death being due to a general breaking down of the system. He was surrounded by his family and relatives, and a brother from Emmetsburg. la., his old home. Mr. Nolan is sur vived by four children and a brother, J. F. Nolan, who resides in Livingston. His wife's death occurred oc-curred only a short time ago. The opening of the fail- on Oct. 30 in aid of the building fund of the Meader-ville Meader-ville Parochial school was in every respect re-spect a grand success. The old Caplice store on North Main street was crowded crowd-ed from the opening at 7 o'clock until the closing hour. The Ancient Order of Hibernians booth on the right of the entrance is supplied with a great variety va-riety of fancy and useful articles and the ladies did a rushing business. Mrs. J. D. O'Brien and her assistants at the doll booth have a large display of attractive at-tractive wax figures daintily dressed which found ready sale. The fancy work display is in charge of Mrs. Frank Boucher, Mrs. Tom Lavell, Mrs. George E. Rockwood. Misses Horgan. Mrs. Ep-ping Ep-ping and others and contains some very beautiful work. In the art department presided over by Mrs. P. J. Geraghty and others are large, framed pictures of Bishop Carroll and Father Callahan which will be disposed of by contest. The young ladies of St. Patrick's Alumni association have charge of the refreshment and ice cream stands and they serve temperance drinks, ice cream and other refreshments at reasonable rea-sonable prices. There are also cigar and candy booths. The fish pond is in charge of Mrs. Ada Epping and Miss Julia Horgan, and around this booth young and old find a great deal of genuine amusement in fishing for prizes. A delightful dance was given at the Woman's club on Thursday evening of last week by the DeSiere branch of the L. C. B. A.. No. 342. Seventy-five couples cou-ples were in attendance and danced to the eighteen numbers furnished by Sie-laff's Sie-laff's orchestra. The hall was draped in the colors of the Woman's club. Thomas McGuire, William Knuth. Edward Flynn, Peter Grattan and Charles McoDnald. A charming Hallowe en party was given by Miss Edith Collins at her home on West Broadway. Wednesday evening even-ing of last week. The house was beautifully beau-tifully decorated in red and yellow, and the lights were extinguished, while jack o' lanterns of pumpkins were made to substitute. From 8 until 12 the crowd lost itself in the enjoyment of Hallowe'en Hal-lowe'en games. The following were present: Misses Margaret Walker, Marie Ma-rie O'Meara. Esther Cohn, Esther Du-gan. Du-gan.
