Sister Ignatius, who. for several months past' has been in charge of th Sisters' hospital, has resigned her charge and gone to Leavenworth. Kan., where she was before coming to Lead-vilie. Lead-vilie. She is succeeded by Sistev Elearia, who has been connected with the hospital for some time. The Church of the Annunciation was well filled Friday morning when, at 9:30. the services over the late Mrs. Kather-ine Kather-ine Gorman commenced. For many years , Mrs. Gorman had conducted a boarding house at 532 East Fourth street and was known to nearly every old time miner in the camp. Many of these were present at the obsequies. The cortege left the house at fl o'clock and proceeded to the church. High mass was celebrated with Father Woolihan as the celebrant and Father Gibbous preached the sermon. With the coffin covered with beautiful flowers, the cortege went to St. Joseph's cemetery, where interment was made. Mrs. Gorman was the second of her immediate family to die' of the same complaint. Five years ago her husband. hus-band. Michael Gorman, succumbed to heart disease, which later carried her off. With all the ceremony of the lodge service. Edward Smullen, years ago well known as a miner In this camp, was buried yesterday by the local A. O. 17. W., of which he was a member. Smullen died last week in Ouray, where he has resided for several years. The body was brought tn this city, arriving ar-riving here yesterday morning. The funeral was held from the Church of the Annunciation, the Rev. Father Gibbons officiating-.
