Show Sudden Death. The unexpected death of Dr. H. D. Niles on Tuesday last was a shock to his numerous friends, not only in this city, but throughout the intermouhtain region, where, as a physician, and especially es-pecially as a surgeon, he was widely known. In his profession he stood very high, always winning the confidence confi-dence of those who sought relief from bodily infirmities, as well as the esteem and high regard of members of the medical fraternity. For fifteen years he had been con-nected con-nected with the hospital staff of the Holy Cross hospital. During those years he scarcely missed a day that he would not visit his patients, and often twice a day. For those who entrusted themselves to his charge he was ever ready to make any personal sacrifice which necessity demanded. He leaves a devoted wife and two loving children to mourn his sudden death. Ae tender our deepest sympt-thies sympt-thies to the bereaved ones, and pray that God, dispenser of life and death, may give them the strength to bear with Christian fortitude and resignation resigna-tion the passing of their loved one from this land of shadows. |
