Show PARK CITY, UTAH. Tuesday evening about 7 o'clock Mrs Patrick Sullivan, living about a mile north of town, met with quite a painful accident while returning home from Park City. Mrs. Sullivan and her daughter Katie, a young girl about 11 years of age, were driving home in a single buggy, and when near John Oldham's Old-ham's cabin in Thayne's canyon the holdback strap broke, letting the buggy forward upon the horse. The animal, becoming frightened, started to run away, and after going a short distance overturned the buggy, pitching the oc cupants out and breaking the vehicle. The daughter escaped uninjured, but Mrs. Sullivan was thrown upon her head and received several scalp wo'ind.; : and severe bruises. The phvsicians. j who were at once summoned, fou-d it necessary to take about twenty stitches in different portions of the scalp. The injured woman is resting well todiy and will be fully recovered before long. . Mrs. S. H. McCarty and chi'dren arrived ar-rived home from. Salt Lake City Tuesday Tues-day morning. Mrs. MCa-tv has been detained in the Holy Cross hcsi-ital fir the past two weelcs on account of an injury sustained soe time ago. Her friends will be pleased to learn that , her condition is great!- improved. I Frank Shields, accompanied by his 1 sister. Miss Mary, left Tuesday afternoon after-noon for a two months' visit to the World's fair and other eastern points. j .Hon. Misses Kate Farrell of Salt Lake and Leah Alexander of Boise, Ta.. sent the fore part of the week with Mr. anS Mrs. Alex Farrell in this city. Sheriff Dan Cronin and wife came up from Eureka with the excursionists and remained in camp until the follow. ing day. -4- Mrs. J. J. McPhee and Mrs. Amanda Robinson are snending a few days with friends in Coalvi'le and vicinity. -4 Labor day. Mondav, Sent. 5, wi'l be fittingly observed in this city by a parade, pa-rade, sports and a ball game. The Trades and Labor assembly at its last meeting appointed Fd Boyle, James Bogan. Andy Martin. Dee Malin and Dan GaUigan as a committee on general arrangements, and these gentlemen gen-tlemen are now at work to make the celebration a successful one. Three hundred dollars has been raised amons the business and professional men o camp and this will be expended for prizes, etc. A parade will be held in the morning, and snorts will take place on Main street during the day. A ball game will be played between the Park City team and an amateur team picked from( among the best players in the -state! EUREKA. UTAH. Mr. and Mrs. Charles O'Connell were the guests of Salt Lake and Park City friends. j 4 Miss Agnes Shea has returned from a visit with Miss Frances McChrystal at Salt Lake. -4- Mrs. Mike Harrington returned to her home at Butte.
