J The drug is so easy to conceal and car- ry about and its effect upon the nervous nerv-ous system so prompt and potent that its use seems to have come about ay a handy substitute for alcohol, warranted to "make the d'-unk come" quicker than the strongest tanglefoot whisky. At all events it ha-5 takon hold on an element Ij of the population in various cities, and as its use spreads it loaves a trail of insanity and death.
