Show ! MRS; DOOLY GIVES j $5,000 TO CATHEDRAL. Another donation of $5,000 has been made to. the fund for the building of j the new . St. Mary's cathedral. This ' lime it was Mrs. John E. Dooly who i;o j liberally contributed. This gift has I given new impetus to the construction I of the. magnificent building. The I Catholic people generally, and particularly par-ticularly Bishop Scanlan and other high church men locally, were much elated. - The progress in construction has b?c-n mpid at all times when funds were available. The stone work on the main portion of the building has been completed and the masons are now en-, gaged in building the mai-sive stone steps leading to the main entrance from Brigham street. Mrs. Dooly is the wife, of J. E. Dooly ! the well known banker, and the donation dona-tion is not surprising, as Mr. and Mrs. Dooly are always ready to nssist in smaller church affairs, and of course they ;'ie particularly interested, in the magnificent cathedral. |
