Show WHERE DIVORCEES RULE. On his return from the Lambeth conference, Rev. Dr. Mackay-Smith, Anglican Coadjutor Bishop of Pennsylvania, is quoted by the New ' York Tribune as having said, speaking of divorce: I "The American Bishops prevented the conference 'from passing severe resolutions condemning it. The Americans thought it would be of no use to pass resolutions which would not be supported by the members of the church, and the result was that a resolution was passed favoring divorce on only one ground, that of adultery." Manifestly, here's a case where the divorcees rule. Catholic Union and Times. |
